An initial informal gathering was held on November 16, 2011, at BMOCA in Boulder. The intent of the initial meeting was simply to discuss and share ideas, and to explore neighborhood sensitivities surrounding the former Junior Academy site at 2641 4th Street. Project participants included Christopher Foreman, Owner of Moonbeam Boulder; Dale Hubbard and Tim Laughlin of Surround Architecture; and Charlie Hager of JVA Engineering. All participants were available for one on one discussion, and – for those less inclined to speak directly with the design team – a comments box was available. Community interest proved to be strong, and the meeting was a successful one.
